The Board of Governors meets six times a year.  There are two main committees: one responsible for Academic matters including staffing; the other is the Resource Committee, which is tasked with looking after Property, Finance, Health & Safety and Marketing.  Each Governor is a member of at least one of these committees.   Both committees submit minutes and report to the Governing Body.  The Principal and his Senior Management Team attend the meetings of both these committees, as well as those of the Board of Governors.

Governors have a number of key roles and responsibilities.  They discuss and agree the School’s vision and aims for the future, making sure that pupils receive a first-class learning experience.  Governors have to ensure that the School remains financially secure and that it operates within its charitable status.  They support the Principal and the Senior Management Team in building on the School’s success both in academic terms and in providing excellent pastoral care.
