Rugby
U13s v Silcoates
Fulneck Struggled against tough opposition on a glorious morning at Fulneck. Playing the Silcoates first teams, both ages found it hard going against tough physical sides.
The U13s showed glimpes of some flowing Rugby with Ben Ward and Thomas Hobbs linking well to produce some good attacking phases. One of these combinations led to Edmund Okpala scoring in the corner after a fantastic 50 yard effort.
The U13s battled hard but were always second best to the opposition. Credit should be given to the Fulneck players who really tried to step up to to an extremely high level of Rugby
Final Score 55 -5
Tries – Edmund Okpale
Man of the Match – Ben Ward
Game Stars - Thomas Hobbs George Waterson Curtis Hill Edmund Okpala
U15s v Silcoates
Missing several key individuals, Fulneck struggled against their high flying opposition. Eddie Kelly worked hard to dominate the pack and nearly succeeded with several darting runs. Callum Gamble was excellent in defence. This was another level for the U15s to play and they certainly gave it a shot.
Final Score 58 – 0

Netball
Fulneck v Hipperholme
On Saturday 5th November the U12 and U13 girls played Netball against Hipperholme. Having beaten them in October the pressure was on to prove to them how much we had progressed. With many players playing out of position and trying out new positions Fulneck looked comfortable scoring 7 goals to Hipperholm’s one in the first 7 minutes. The first match was won convincingly by Fulneck with the final score being 12-4. Some excellent shooting by Olivia Hellas and great defending by Victoria Carter and Kim Basra helped to seal the victory.
The 2nd game we played was again against Hipperholme with a slightly different team. More year 7’s made up this combination, for some of whom it was their first game for Fulneck. Although the game was slower to start Fulneck was the first team to put in a goal, scoring 4 in the first 7 minutes. As the game progressed the girls got used to using more space and as a result some quick court play allowed more goals to be scored by Fulneck. The final score was 15-2 to Fulneck. Special mention must go to Phoebe Briggs who played WA for the first time; using excellent agility skills to move the ball down the court.
The team was - Victoria Carter; Kim Basra; Aastha Pal; Millie Long; Zara Brogan; Annabel Crossley;
Isabelle Lawman; Phoebe Briggs and Polly Dale
