Fulneck Old Boy takes a trip down memory lane.

Dear Mrs Newman,

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Fulneck (which when I was a Governor and ever since I left in school 1956, I have called My School) for last Saturday.

In the approximately 15 years since I was a Governor, this was the first time I have been back to really look around.  My wife has never had the opportunity to see so much of the school I talk so much about.  She was truly impressed.

The weather, of course, helped a lot, but it was the same friendly ‘family’ atmosphere that still exists, I found so refreshing.

The hospitality was exceptional (and may I include Leo, our guide for the afternoon, in this – a perfect example of what Fulneck School is about).

I am very proud of My School and through you and your husband just wanted to say Thank You to you and your staff for keeping the ethos of Fulneck alive and well.

If Chris Stern remembers to send me his new e-mail address, I have said I would be sending him a note which I hope he will read out at the next Governors’ meeting, in September.

Hoping you have a good summer break.

Kindest regards

Peter Christie
