The Fulneck Cup

On a windy cold spring afternoon Fulneck welcomed local schools to compete for the prestigious Fulneck Cup. Both Footballers and netballers competed for the prize in what were to say the least challenging conditions.

The U11 Fulneck football team made a good start with a win against Moorlands school and goals scored by captain George Rivers and Elliot Trivett.

This unfortunately was to be the only victory of the day for the boys as the strength of the group be-came evident, this did not dishearten the Fulneck team one bit and kept competing until the final whistle. The boys should be proud of how they represented the school and the grit and determination they showed.

Rugby Tournament at Richmond House

It was an atrocious, wet day but our team persevered through the wind and rain. Our first match we won through hard work and determination. Every game brought the team closer together. Fortunately, we gladly won all four matches. The passing was great and the tackling was very good from Keith, Freddie and Adam.

Balint ran with purpose to score a number of fantastic tries. Sam was a superstar, he took hard hits, scored many brilliant tries for the team and was truly worthy of Man of The Match.

Mr Downes helped us through the four matches and was a great coach. Myself and the team would like to thank him for all his help and commitment to our successful team.
