Staff team raises money for Yorkshire Cancer Research

Last Saturday, one student and eleven staff members from Nursery, Junior and Senior School took part in Gung-Ho’s 5km inflatable obstacle race.

Team members met early at Temple Newsam. After gathering for the warm up, they set off clambering over the first inflatable hurdle, heading from one to another before reaching the final obstacle, the biggest inflatable slide in Europe! All of the team completed the course and thankfully, the rain held off until we had finished.

All money raised will be going to school’s nominated charity for the year, Yorkshire Cancer Research. At present, we have raised just over £500 in sponsorship for the race.

Throughout the year, our student led charity committee have worked together to organise various events including non-uniform days and tuck shops in order to raise money for the charity, all sponsorship money will be added to the final total and presented to the charity at the end of the year.
