Facilities

Accommodation

Boys and Girls are accommodated in two separate houses but they meet together in the school dining hall for all their meals as well as for all their lessons throughout the week.

The younger pupils in Junior Boarding will share rooms with one or two others. Senior and Sixth Form students will either share with one other student, or have a single room.

Within each house there are communal recreational rooms, kitchen facilities, computer suites and numerous shower/bathroom facilities. A full-time surgery is also operational and managed by a very experienced paediatric Nurse; in addition all boarding staff are fully trained on Heath and Safety and First Aid.

IT Facilities

Boarders are encouraged to bring their own laptops as each House has access to an internet connection via the school network. Each house also has computer facilities available, and there are public telephones and fax facilities. Internet access is carefully monitored and only selected social networking sites are allowed at certain times of the evening. Fulneck School always seeks written parental consent before allowing the students to access the internet.

Keeping in touch

The use of mobile phones is encouraged to keep in touch with families and friends however, mobile phones cannot be used during school hours and the younger pupils will be requested to hand them back to the boarding staff before bedtime.

Outside the Boarding Houses

The boarders have access to our extensive and beautiful grounds which provide space for barbeques, picnics, playing tennis and other ball games and a relaxing environment. By arrangement, boarders can use school facilities including common rooms, a vast library with excellent IT facilities, the school gymnasium; in addition, there are music rooms where students can practise their favourite instruments.
