From the moment the children join our school they begin to develop an understanding of others and become more independent. Children thrive within our community where individual characteristics and talents are recognised, nurtured and cherished.
Fulneck’s environment ensures that all children learn and develop in our safe and secure surroundings.
Our children follow the National Foundation Stage Curriculum which offers a wide variety of learning objectives which are initially based on play. Gradually, as the children are ready, they develop their reading and writing skills.
Our education strategy ensures personal, social and emotional growth through the development of communication skills as well as providing a good foundation in language and literacy, knowledge and understanding of the world, numeracy, creativity and physical development.
Our class sizes are small and the staff/pupil ratio is high, ensuring that each child can benefit from time spent in a one-to-one situation and in small groups. All our children are encouraged to develop lifelong creativity, make discoveries, play with ideas, and appreciate the beauty of the world around them. We also provide early and late care as well as a holiday club to ensure the needs of busy families are met.
At the end of their time in Lambs’ Hill, all children will have benefited from being in an atmosphere which encourages them to share and care for each other as well as giving them a sense of independence and enjoyment.
Our Early Years education provides the foundation on which all other phases of education and life depend.
