Fulneck Nursery is in the centre of the school site and enjoys a warm and secure environment in which each child has the freedom to develop their abilities and potential.

We have a strong commitment to child-centred learning; we take the nurturing of our children’s confidence, self-esteem, curiosity and creativity very seriously, in a fun and exciting way.
We have an open-door policy and our warm and friendly teaching staff are always ready and willing to listen and to share with parents.

Even at the earliest stages of a child’s development we provide a broad and balanced curriculum, which takes into account your child’s individual needs. Our emphasis is on developing the personal, social and emotional skills, as well as early English and Maths. We recognise how important these skills are in contributing to a child's knowledge, understanding and abilities in other areas of learning. PE, Spanish and Music sessions are all taught by specialist teaching staff at Fulneck School.

An example of a morning routine in the Nursery:

Time Activity
8.30-9.00 Free choice activities in key room with key worker
9.00-9.15 Breakfast
9.15-9.45 Free choice activities/adult-focused session/outdoor activities
9.45-10.45 PE/Spanish/Music
10.45-11.30 Outdoor play
11.30-12.00 Lunch
12.00-1.00 Outdoor Play

PE, Spanish and Music sessions are all taught by specialist teaching staff at Fulneck School.

Entrance to the nursery is open to all; we have a vibrant and well-revered setting and as a result the demand for a place that transfers into the Reception class of the School is high. We offer both 15 and 30 hours funding from the Nursery Education Grant Scheme, for those who are eligible, though these are limited and you may want to discuss your options personally with one of our team.
We offer flexible hours and children can attend the nursery on a full- or part-time basis, to fit in with the working hours and needs of parents.
