Senior School

Welcome to our vibrant and thriving Senior School!
As Vice-Principal and Head of the Senior School here at Fulneck, I am entirely committed to ensuring that each individual pupil fulfils their potential during these important school years so that they will leave Fulneck as independent, confident and enquiring young adults who understand right from wrong and are fully prepared for life’s challenges.
My aim is for every Fulneck pupil to thrive in a happy, supportive and purposeful environment where opportunities for success are numerous and staff, pupils and parents work together in co-operative and harmonious partnerships. With our outstanding pastoral care we strive to ensure that our pupils are safe and secure, whilst developing a strong moral code which embraces tolerance, respect and humility. Our pupils are encouraged to make a positive contribution to the local community and globally to society.
Throughout the Senior School we promote the highest possible standards of teaching and learning to ensure that your children achieve the best they are capable of, in terms of academic potential, whatever their ability. Everything we do is aimed towards inspiring and stimulating the minds of our young people, both in the classroom and in the wider life of the school, by encouraging them to participate in our extensive extra-curricular programme. In short, Fulneck pupils are encouraged to find their niche and strive for excellence in as many areas of school life as possible, ultimately, achieving the lifelong fulfilment which will set them on the road to exciting and successful futures.
I look forward to welcoming you and your child personally to our Senior School family.
Mrs. Deborah Newman, Head of Senior School
