A Level Results 2021

Students at Fulneck School are celebrating a very fine set of A Level and Level 3 Btec results. 51% of A Level entries have been awarded at A*-A grade with 91% at A*-C grade. 43% of students achieved a row of A*-A or equivalent grades.

Principal, Paul Taylor, said: “Our Upper Sixth has been a very special year group throughout their time at Fulneck School. They have excelled in all aspects of their school lives, from academic to extra-curricular to community service, and they certainly deserved a far better end to their careers here than what they did actually live through over the last 18 months.

These should have been the best days of their school lives, but instead the students have coped magnificently with the challenges of remote learning, university applications without visits and, ultimately, the uncertainty over how their final grades would be calculated. Their positive and mature approach has been rewarded with a very fine set of grades.

Their achievements are in no way diminished by the absence of official exams; in fact, if anything they are enhanced by the pressure and uncertainty that these students have had to live and work through. They leave us prepared for the next steps in their exciting lives and ready to make a positive impact on the wider world.

My congratulations too to all the staff and students’ families who did their utmost to support the students academically and pastorally through the pandemic. This period has certainly seen the Fulneck community at its very best.”
